On a beautiful summer's day, I had the pleasure of photographing Lucy and Sam’s wedding at Raven Hall Hotel, a stunning wedding venue located in North Yorkshire. Raven Hall Hotel - Bridal Prep
As I arrived at Lucy's private lodge for her bridal prep, her mother and sister were busy adding the final touches to their hair and makeup. The lodges at Raven Hall Hotel provide an ideal setting for bridal prep photos, with breathtaking views of Robin Hood's Bay in the background.
I have photographed many weddings at Raven Hall Hotel, and this view never fails to impress me. It's no wonder why many couples choose Raven Hall Hotel as their wedding venue.
After Lucy put on her wedding dress, we took some important portrait photos with her mother and sister, as well as the all-important first look with her father. As a wedding photographer, I always love capturing these precious moments that make a wedding day unforgettable.

Raven Hall Hotel - Ceremony
At Raven Hall Hotel, the grand hall provides a stunning rustic setting to exchange your vows. The hall is illuminated by natural light from large windows and enchanting fairy lights hanging from the rafters of the roof.
Lucy and Sam's wedding ceremony was a wonderful blend of laughter and emotion, made even more special by the personal touch of Sam's parents playing music as Lucy walked down the aisle.
It was a beautiful moment that added an extra layer of intimacy and love to their ceremony.
Following the ceremony, Lucy and Sam, accompanied by their wedding guests, proceeded to the restaurant for welcome drinks, where they were unexpectedly treated to an incredible performance by a magician.
As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, I enjoy capturing candid moments and having a magician present during a wedding reception is an added bonus.
The expressions on people's faces as they are amazed and entertained by the magician's tricks make for some truly remarkable and humorous photos.
Raven Hall Hotel - Wedding Breakfast
During the wedding reception, whilst Lucy and Sam's guests were being entertained, I had the opportunity to take them away for 15 minutes to capture their wedding portrait photos.
Raven Hall Hotel offers some of the most stunning views for miles around, making the experience of photographing wedding portraits both enjoyable and exciting.
We went down to the castle buttresses, which provide an excellent vantage point overlooking Robin Hood's Bay and the North Sea.

Following the wedding breakfast, we were treated to some heartwarming speeches from Sam, his sister, and Lucy's father. The speeches were emotional, yet balanced with the right amount of humour to make them memorable.
Raven Hall Hotel - After Party
After the wedding breakfast, it was time to move to the grand hall where the DJ was set up. Lucy and Sam cut the cake and proceeded to their first dance.
The grand hall offered an intimate and enchanting setting for their first dance, with its beautiful fairy lights adding a magical touch to the occasion.
